I always like to imagine that the Scrap Brain (Final Zone) boss was Robotnik's big attempt at creating an engine for the Death Egg. Like he had it planned from the start of the series.

Love the music of this level it matches so well with what's going on in the game but if I have to choose I still prefer the Master System version which is completely different from this one

I agree. «Scrap Brain Zone» is hard to make something unique. But the expansion turned out to be quite normal. I especially liked it at 1:36, where you added electronics, and the Outro Jingle of Victory. Now we are waiting for an epic «Final Zone» from you! 38^)

Loved where this went with the expansion and outro, with different parts of the mix coming to the fore I could hear parts that reminded me of Death Egg from Sonic 2.

"Scrap Brain Zone" is too straightforward a track to really mess around with, and any attempts will deviate too far for comfort. Therefore, I decided to keep the expansion relatively close to home, and the play length short and sweet. Sometimes less is more.

Ahhh, Star Light Zone - the first Sonic theme I learned to play on piano, kinda (melody only) - truly one of my favorites. Let's see what you've done Of course, your take on the original section is brilliant. Every sound is full and rich, and very enjoyable to listen to. Sounds like it's come right out of the VGM Vault! 0:45 I THOUGHT I heard some disco in there! 🪩 I think it really fits well with this theme. Not just because the shiny plates on a disco ball kind of look like stars themselves, but the genre is perfect for the tempo and feel of this song. It's something to chill out and groove to! 1:30 Adding some flair to the original melody for the expansion is just so satisfying! I really liked the sections where you played a few notes in rapid succession before leaning right back into the slower-paced notes 2:00 This is a real head bop kind of section~ It kinda gives the feeling of a chill road trip, enjoying the scenery in a convertible like you're in OutRun. The drums, the synth... it all gives a cool city pop vibe as well, which is perfect for the bustling city in the background 2:50 It's time for the synth to take the wheel, and I think this section is a great way to transition away from the expansion and right back into the original. This diverts the most from the original, taking its notes from the backing track rather than the melody, and I'm really happy that it got a chance to shine. 3:20 Right back into the original melody, which plays 3 times - third time is the charm~ The first time around is pretty standard, but I love how you add a bit more drum to every pass. It helps me feel more and more excited as the song continues! And the synth on the final pass helped bring it all together Loved how it ended triumphantly on that final note as well Overall, I'd absolutely say you succeeded in your mission. Thank you for taking your time on this, though who are we to expect anything less? Great job 👏

I'm not the biggest fan of youtube remixes of classic songs if I'm being honest. However, every track I've ever heard you remix has at least been as good as the original song. Great job man. You never cease to impress.

This extension is uber crisp. You could play this at the club and get everyone on the dance floor big time. Another banger as always Maestro!

I always look forward to the expansion parts. This one put me mind of Sonic CD. There's actually a track in the US soundtrack with similar guitars like that. Wacky Workbench I think? Really lends itself well to the gameplay, given Sonic's design in both games.
